Here’s a meal rich in protein and fiber. Sautéed veggies are my go to form of fiber. All you need is some salt and pepper and their natural flavor.
Pork chops when flattened and seasoned well, don’t need to be cooked for just as long, giving you a delicious meal in just a few minutes.
If you feel fancy but don’t want to compromise on health, this recipe gives you best of both worlds! 🙂
For the pork chops:
- 8 pork chops
- Meat seasoning
- Garlic powder
- Pepper powder
- 2 table spoons mustard
- 2 eggs
- Bread crumbs
- Salt to taste
Prepare the chops. Wash and flatten the chops one by one.
Marinate the chops with the pepper,salt,garlic powder and meat seasoning and set aside.
In a bowl,
Whisk two eggs with mustard,pepper and meat seasoning.
Heat a pan.
Dip the chop in the egg, roll it in bread crumbs and shallow fry it.
Fry for 1 minute each side.
For the sautéed veggies:
- 2 Cloves of garlic
- 1 table spoon of butter
- 1/2 table spoon pepper
Boil al the veggies apart from the broccoli in a cup of water as drain the water.
In a separate vessel, boil the broccoli.
Drain once done.
In a saucepan, fry the garlic and the onion.
One fried, add a spoon of butter.
Add the veggies and toss.
Toss the broccoli as well. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Fry some potato wedges too.
