This particular pasta recipe doesn’t even require you to boil the pasta before you get started. That is correct, no-boil pasta! And it really works!
I was a little apprehensive in the beginning since I wasn’t sure if the shells would cook. I gave it a try anyway.. and voila..It worked!
I used just one dish and it’s prep time is barely 5 minutes since all you have to do is get all the ingredients into one casserole and throw it into the oven.
Prep time: 5 mins
Bake time: 40 mins
- 1 and a half cup uncooked pasta
- 2 cups tomato puree
- 3 tbs black pepper
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbs butter
- grated cheese ( no measurement on the cheese, I’d say be generous)
- 1 tbs oregano
- 1 tbs chilly flakes
- 2 tbs Hot sauce
- 1 cup cut sausages ( optional)
You could also add veggies like spring onions and bell peppers if you wish to.
Apart from the ingredients in bold, you can get creative and add or subtract what you want in you pasta.
Grease the dish using butter or olive oil.
Mix all the above ingredients into a single dish.
Layer the ingredients if you wish.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Place the casserole into the oven for 40 minutes.
And there you have it, your cheesy creamy pasta with minimal effort! 🙂
