Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Who stole the cookie from the cookie Jar?

While this has been everyones favorite child hood jingle, I know for sure that only singing it makes you want to bite into one delicious overloaded cookie!
And if your not too lazy to bake some yourself, here is an easy recipe to enjoy that cookie with a warm glass of milk..

Ingredients:
All ingredients maintained at room temperature.
* 3/4 cup brown sugar
* 1/4 cup cane sugar
* 1/2 cup salted butter
* 1egg
* 1 egg yolk
* 2 tbsp vanilla essensce
* 1+1/2 cup all purpose flour
* 1/2 tsp baking soda/powder
* 1+ 1/4 cup chocolate chips
Optional: 1 cup milk chocolate or dark choco chips, 1/4 cup white chocolate chips

Method:
In a huge mixing bowl, add the sugars and butter..mix well.


Stir the egg and the egg yolk into the mixture, add the vanilla essence.

Once the mixture is smooth and creamy, fold the flour and baking powder.
Once the flour is combined, add the chocolate chips.

Refrigerate the dough for 2 hours after making 1” balls.

Place these cookie dough balls on the baking tray lined with butter paper or butter.

Preheat the oven to 160 degree Celsius,

Bake the cookies for 20 mins until the sides are golden brown.

Allow the cookies to sit for 2 extra minutes in the oven before placing them on the cooling rack!!
